Press Play is a sequential music editor! Utilizing the powerful web audio library, this tool lets any user mix samples and effects to compose great music.
Compositions will play from left to right, allowing for some great opportunities to make awesome beats by chaining tracks together across timelines.
The project frontend was built in React and hosted on Vercel. The backend was built with Node, Express, and Firebase and hosted on Heroku.

How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
We're in the advanced track of CodeDay Labs. The project's drag and drop utility library was not built by us, and was extremely useful!
What challenges did you encounter?
Unfortunately, a teammate left in the middle of the project and we had to scale down to build a working prototype. In addition, we encountered problems with rendering and relaying information across the app with React state management.
