Premise: In a chaotic, fragmented world, everything is made up of unfinished ideas and incomplete concepts. Lorem and Ipsum are the "placeholders," the guardians of the gaps between worlds, tasked with maintaining order. However, the realm has descended into chaos, with sentences, ideas, and objects broken apart. Enemies are corrupted pieces of reality that have emerged from the unknown voids.

Placeholder for the Unknown: Many objects, creatures, and parts of the world remain incomplete or are missing altogether. As players progress, they discover these voids filled with placeholder text or broken ideas, and their role is to bring clarity, turning gibberish into coherent forms.

Core Gameplay Mechanics
Chaos and Nonsense: The world itself behaves unpredictably, where physics and logic can shift mid-game. For example:
Terrain Transformation: Levels could constantly change as sentences rearrange themselves, turning platforms into enemies or creating barriers out of words.
Nonsense Puzzles: Players solve puzzles by using random snippets of text or combining illogical elements to form coherent results. A puzzle might ask the player to spell a word using falling letters that don’t make sense until rearranged.
Placeholder Enemies and Bosses:
Enemies are fractured pieces of incomplete text, visualized as glitches or unfinished creatures (e.g., enemies that are half-code or blank, with random gibberish floating around them).
Boss fights could feature more complex versions of these glitches, where the player needs to "fill in the blanks" by solving word-based puzzles or fighting through stages of chaotic nonsense.
Bosses could represent concepts like The Sentence Breaker, who constantly shatters sentences and paragraphs, or The Unfinished Thought, a boss that is always morphing and never fully forms, requiring different strategies to defeat.

Character Mechanics: Lorem and Ipsum

Lorem (the orderly one):
Lorem can "stabilize" parts of the chaotic world, turning gibberish and placeholders into solid structures. He may have abilities to organize sentences, repair fragmented enemies, or control the environment by making sense out of nonsense.
Special Abilities: Rearrange environmental text to create platforms, solidify enemies into a fixed state, or reorganize letters to form bridges and unlock paths.

Ipsum (the chaotic one): Ipsum embraces the nonsense, wielding chaos to fight enemies. He can summon random effects or create unpredictable outcomes—sometimes these backfire, adding to the fun chaos.
Special Abilities: Unleash random attacks or word-based effects that scramble enemy patterns or temporarily alter game mechanics (like reversing gravity or switching enemy weaknesses).
Wildcard Attacks: Ipsum’s attacks could involve summoning incomplete objects, like half-made swords or partially constructed shields, that change as they are used.

How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?

We have a solid background in game development, primarily utilizing Unity and C#. Our experience includes designing and implementing game mechanics, creating interactive environments, and optimizing performance for a smooth user experience. We are proficient in using pixel art software to develop charming and engaging visuals, allowing us to create unique character designs and immersive game worlds. Our passion for game development drives us to continuously learn and improve our skills in these areas.

What challenges did you encounter?

We didnt have enough time to actually implement our ideas, we could have done MUCH better.
