What challenges did you encounter?
It took a great amount of effort to tackle this daunting task. First we discussed possible prompts and we decided that a blackjack game would be an interesting game to code. We wanted to incorporate another aspect to improve the functionality and uniqueness of the project, so we decided to combine blackjack with SAT practice. We faced many challenges coding the blackjack game, for example making the animations and fixing critical bugs around the SPLIT function in Blackjack, which required recursive logic. Once we had the general framework of Blackjack done, we worked on incorporating SAT questions into our game. We found a comprehensive public question bank from College Board and we worked on making the UI to answer the questions. We faced various challenges regarding the position of the UI elements, but we worked it out after discussing with our team members. Our next task was to incorporate the questions with the blackjack game. We again faced many logic orders, especially for the order that the questions should be showed between playing a round of Blackjack. Our last challenge was making the art and music. We wanted our project to be visually appealing, so we spent a decent amount of effort composing original music and putting it all together to make the most innovative project we could. We faced several issues throughout our creative process, spanning from coding logic to visual glitches, from UI positioning to music composition, but no matter how impossibly daunting the task felt, we were able to find a solution with the help of our teammates
