The Goal:
Start with nothing but a backpack, 200 gold, and a dream. Trade your way across the world, accumulate wealth, and purchase the Merchant Estate in the Capital City for 100,000 Gold to win.
The Core Loop:
π Analyze β π Trade β πΊοΈ Plan β π€οΈ Travel β π° Profit & Expand
1. Analyze β View the town's market to spot undervalued goods and high-demand imports
2. Trade β Buy goods using your gold and available cargo space
3. Plan β Open the World Map, check route distances, danger ratings, weather, and trade rumors
4. Travel β Watch the progress bar as your caravan moves. Consume daily food and wages while facing random road events
5. Profit & Expand β Arrive, sell at a premium, upgrade your vehicle, hire guards, learn skills, and repeat
Game Over:
You go bankrupt if you run out of gold, food, and cargo simultaneously while in a town.
What tools did you use to create your project?
How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
I had built a game earlier which was a basic platformer using assets from a Youtuber. This time I made this Game completely by hand without using any assets made by other people, except the Images and the Background Music which are AI generated. It was a really good experience this time as I felt I did something really good and it made me appreciate my efforts.
What challenges did you encounter?
Fixing Logical issues in the code was the major challenge i faced. Since the game is based on Trades, I had to think twice before doing each feature and had to understand its dependencies thoroughly before implementing it. Wiring everything together was difficult too, as this was my first time doing such a big game.
