BoatAttack is a 3D boat racing game built with Unity, featuring dynamic water environments, AI-controlled opponents, and exciting racing gameplay. Our project focuses on improving AI behaviour, game menus, performance, visual effects, and overall gameplay stability to deliver a smoother racing experience.
What tools did you use to create your project?
How much experience does your group have? Does the project use anything (art, music, starter kits) you didn't create?
I'm an individual student developer with hands-on full-stack development experience. I used OpenCode for AI-assisted development and open-source libraries and third-party assets where needed. The core idea and implementation of TrekMate are my own.
What challenges did you encounter?
As a solo developer, my biggest challenges were integrating the frontend and backend, debugging deployment issues, managing database operations, and ensuring application security. I also had to learn how to use AI-assisted development effectively with OpenCode while maintaining control over the code and implementation.
